Applebee's Grill + Bar leaves sign on door announcing closure in Oshkosh

OSHKOSH – Another restaurant is no longer in business.

Applebee’s Grill + Bar on South Koeller Street is the latest location to shut its doors permanently following the recent closures of the Sheboygan, Neenah and Racine restaurants.

Would-be patrons were greeted by a sign inside the restaurant stating “the decision has been made to permanently close this location” after the last day of business Aug. 14.

The sign didn’t give a reason for the decision, but the Sheboygan, Neenah and Racine locations were closed in 2023 as a result of a lack of profitability.

The closest Applebee’s is now in Appleton on West College Avenue.
