OSHKOSH – The issues are well documented.

Oshkosh Arena ’s fortunes appear to be turning around now, but that’s only coming after seven years of financial challenges.

Almost from the opening tip, the arena owner, Fox Valley Pro Basketball, faced fiscal problems as the company filed for bankruptcy while reporting more than 100 creditors just two years into the arena’s existence.

The arena then racked up more than $644,000 in combined personal property and real estate tax arrears before contractor Bayland Buildings filed a foreclosure suit claiming FVPB still owned an outstanding balance of $12,417,464.82.

Consequently, the Wisconsin Herd's future at the arena came into question after an inside source revealed to the Northwestern that the Milwaukee Bucks' G League franchise "no longer wants to work" with FVPB over claims of a violation over their lease agreement.

But who is to blame for the arena’s continued hardships?

Does the fault lie with FVPB, or should other entities shoulder part of the blame?

    You tell us!

Send us your thoughts about the arena’s struggles via email to jmarville@gannett.com for a chance to have your views published in a future article. Be sure to include your first and last name, city of residence and your reason why your particular choice should shoulder blame for the financial difficulties of Oshkosh Arena.
