OSHKOSH – Sons of the American Legion Squadron 70 will host the “Traveling Wall” from American Veterans Traveling Tribute Oct. 10-13 at the Sunnyview Expo Center.

The Traveling Wall is an 8-foot-high, 360-foot-long replica of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The memorial honors U.S. service members who fought in the Vietnam War, died in service in Vietnam and southeast Asia, and those service members who were unaccounted for during the war.

The Wall is scheduled to arrive Oct. 9 and will be escorted under colors by American Legion Riders, local police and fire departments.

A Vietnam-era Huey helicopter will also provide an aerial escort.

An opening ceremony will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 10. The Traveling Wall is open to the public, free of charge.
