Fundraising event Sept. 10 for Anne Backus

The Anderson County Democratic Women’s Club is inviting people to a fundraising event for Anne Backus, who is running for the District 33 seat on the Tennessee House of Representatives. She is the Democratic nominee.

District 33 includes most of Anderson County.

The event will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 10 at 201 Café and Wine Bar, 201 Jackson Square. Appetizers will be served and music will be provided by the the group, The Missing Goats, according to a information from the club.

The suggested donation is $50. Checks will be accepted at the door.

The election is Nov. 5 . Early voting is Oct. 16-31.
