Former University of Oklahoma women's basketball coach Sherri Coale was among four people recently appointed to the Oklahoma Christian University board of trustees.

In addition to Coale, other newly appointed trustees include: Danny Floyd, of Thomas; Dr. Brute Wolf II, of Broken Arrow; and Bill Zuker, of Mannford.

Trustees guide OC’s impact and oversee the university’s transformational mission through policy governance. There are now 28 women and men who serve on the board.

“Our newest additions to the OC Board of Trustees are shining examples of service and leadership, and we are grateful to welcome them into the fold," said Mark Brewer, chairman of the board of trustees.

Coale is a public speaker, author, teacher and decorated former women’s college basketball coach. Coale is the winningest coach in the University of Oklahoma women’s basketball history. During her time coaching, she led her teams to 19 consecutive NCAA Tournaments, including nine Sweet 16 appearances and 3 Final Four appearances. Coale, who played for OC from 1983 to 1987, is a member of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame, the FCA Hall of Champions, the Oklahoma Christian Athletic Hall of Fame and the Norman High School Wall of Honor.

Wolf is an accomplished ophthalmologist in Tulsa and has more than 31 years of experience in the medical field. Wolf is affiliated with Hillcrest Medical Center and a member of the OC National Alumni Council. Wolf graduated from OC in 1986 and is an elder for the Park Church of Christ in Tulsa.

For more than 35 years, Floyd has managed Floyd Farms, a cow and calf operation on 8,500 acres of land. Floyd has extensive experience in both the agriculture and energy industries. Floyd also created, managed and sold Danlin Industries which specializes in chemicals for the energy industry.

Zuker is an elder at the Mannford Church of Christ in Mannford. Zuker worked in the financial industry from 1985 through 2023 when he retired from Bank of Oklahoma as vice president of institutional sales within its BOK Financial Securities division. Zuker worked with banks, corporations and government entities to invest excess cash with specific expertise in fixed income securities.
