    Will it rain over Labor Day weekend in Oklahoma? Cooler temps, precipitation forecast

    Oklahomans will experience a break from the relentless summer heat this Labor Day weekend as the National Weather Service in Norman forecasts precipitation and cooler temperatures.

    Here's what to expect this extended weekend:

    Labor Day weekend weather forecast for Oklahoma

    Starting Friday, temperatures across the state will provide relief from heat in the high 90s and low 100s. Highs will be in the mid-80s to low-90s Friday through Monday, according to National Weather Service in Norman's forecast.

    With lows in the 60s and 70s, NWS Norman predicts chances of rain between 20% to 70% during Labor Day weekend.

    Starting late Thursday into Friday, the Oklahoma City metro will see a 64% chance of rain.

    NWS Norman predicts that temperatures could be milder starting on Sept. 2 on Labor Day.
