After sitting out during OU's Week 1 win over Temple , wide receiver Nic Anderson and linebacker Dasan McCullough didn't suit up again on Saturday.

The Sooners also dealt with numerous injuries on the offensive line. Branson Hickman, Geirean Hatchett, Troy Everett and Isaiah Autry-Dent didn't play.

Joshua Bates and Jake Taylor got the start at center and right tackle, respectively, although Taylor exited the game during the second quarter and didn't return. Michael Tarquin shifted to right tackle as a result, and Logan Howland was inserted at left tackle.

Cornerback Gentry Williams also exited the game during the second quarter with an apparent right shoulder injury and didn't return. The former Tulsa Booker T. Washington standout missed three games last season due to an injury on the same shoulder, and he underwent labrum surgery in the offseason.

Wide receiver Deion Burks then got his left forearm looked at by trainers during the second quarter, according to Sooner Radio Network's Chris Plank. But the Purdue transfer played in the second half, and he finished the game with nine catches for 53 yards.

OU's injury woes continued on the opening drive of the third quarter as linebacker Kip Lewis suffered an injury while making a tackle. He ultimately returned for the final drive of the quarter and finished the night with four tackles.
