Food Network star Alex Guarnaschelli will take over Seven Ponies Restaurant in November

If you've ever wanted to dine on the food of an Iron Chef, you may want to consider buying tickets for Seven Ponies Restaurant inside Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola's special event this November.

Celebrity chef Alex Guarnaschelli — host of Food Network's "Ciao House," "Supermarket Stakeout" and "Alex vs. America," and recurring "Chopped" judge — will take over the restaurant Nov. 1 and 2, bringing her years of experience in kitchens from France to New York City to Oklahoma.

Guarnaschelli will set up shop in Seven Ponies and working alongside its chefs to offer two nights of her signature Italian comfort cuisine, featuring a four-course menu of classic calamari with marinara dipping sauce and a Brooklyn-style iceberg salad with red wine dressing and herbs, a main course of sautéed chicken marsala with braised mixed mushrooms and parsley pesto, and lasagna Bolognese with braised beef short ribs, roasted tomatoes and fresh basil. Finally the meal will end with a jumbo affogato with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and hot espresso for dessert.

At last check, only tickets for four-person tables at $125 per ticket for each night's 8 p.m. seating remained available for purchase. Every guest will also receive an autographed advanced copy of Guarnaschelli's newest cookbook, “Italian American Forever.”
