Oklahoma City teenager Charlotte Drozd, the daughter of The Flaming Lips ' longtime multi-instrumentalist Steven Drozd, has been found safe after going missing in Seattle over the weekend.

Steven Drozd confirmed to The Oklahoman Tuesday afternoon that the 16-year-old had been found.

"We're thankful. She is OK," he said via text.

The team for the Grammy-winning Oklahoma City-based art-rockers posted on social media Monday a missing persons flier for Charlotte, who had last been seen at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Space Needle, possibly headed to downtown Seattle.

OKC rocker's daughter disappeared in Seattle after Flaming Lips' tour date with Weezer

The Lips , who celebrated their 40th anniversary as a band over Labor Day weekend by playing two free hometown shows at OKC's Zoo Amphitheatre , are one of the opening acts on Weezer's North American "Voyage to the Blue Planet Tour."

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Weezer's 1994 "Blue Album," the tour included a Friday Seattle show at Climate Pledge Arena.

Charlotte Drozd had last been seen the next morning in the 400 block of Broad Street near the Space Needle and the adjacent Seattle Center Monorail .

After pleading with fans to help in searching for the teen if they could, Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne joyfully shared on Instagram the news Tuesday afternoon that Charlotte had been found, informing his 260,000 followers that the girl had spoken to her mother and was safe.

"THANK YOU everyone for all your posts and all your networking and all your support and all your skills and all your trust and all your LOVE," Coyne posted on social media.

His Flaming Lips bandmate Matthew Duckworth Kirksey also thanked "everyone who helped get the word out" about the missing teen in a Tuesday afternoon Facebook post .

The Lips' drummer posted on X Monday that it been an "Absolutely brutal couple of days in flaming lips world," as word also spread about the death of 17-year-old Canadian music prodigy Nell Smith, who was known for collaborating with The Flaming Lips. Coyne paid emotional tribute to Nell Sunday night during the band's show in Portland, Oregon, revealing the teenager had been killed in a car accident.

The Lips are scheduled to play additional shows on their tour with Weezer and Dinosaur Jr. Tuesday night at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, and Wednesday night at Chase Center in San Francisco . The tour is set to wrap up Friday, Oct. 11 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles .
