After just two days of presales, all four of Cross Canadian Ragweed's spring 2025 reunion shows at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater are sold out .

Due to the overwhelming demand for tickets, what was originally announced as a one-night-only reunion show at Boone Pickens Stadium rapidly grew into a four-night concert stand set for April 10-13 at the home of OSU football .

OSU Athletics posted on X (formerly Twitter) at about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday that all four shows had sold out, with a total of 180,764 tickets sold.

Cross Canadian Ragweed frontman Cody Canada posted on the band's Facebook page that he was "Amazed and blown away at the love we’re receiving," calling the fan response "The biggest thing to ever happen to us."

Who is Cross Canadian Ragweed and why is the reunion such a big deal?

Formed in 1994 in Yukon, Cross Canadian Ragweed planted its musical roots in the fertile Red Dirt soil of Stillwater .

"The Boys from Oklahoma" — who took the distinctly Oklahoman Red Dirt music nationwide in the early 2000s, toured relentlessly and released music steadily for 15 years and then shocked their loyal fans when they parted ways in 2010 — created a fan frenzy last week when they revealed their plans for a long-awaited reunion show in the college town that birthed the Red Dirt sound .

Initially, Cross Canadian Ragweed Canada , bassist and singer Jeremy Plato, guitarist Grady Cross and drummer Randy Ragsdale — announced plans for one reunion show April 12 at Boone Pickens Stadium.

The news was so well-received that, within hours, practically every hotel room and short-term rental in the vicinity had been claimed, and more than 120,000 people had registered for presale tickets. Two days later, a second OSU stadium show had been added on April 11.

Less than four hours after the initial presale began Monday morning , all tickets had sold out for the beloved Red Dirt band 's April 11-12 concerts, leading to the addition of the April 10 and 13 dates at Boone Pickens Stadium.

Just a few hours after another round of presales launched on Tuesday, all tickets for the two newly added shows had been snapped up, too.

“Wow! What an honor. Completely grateful and stunned by the response we have gotten. Truly next level. Can’t say thanks enough," Ragsdale said in a statement on the band's Facebook .

What other Red Dirt music stars will perform at Cross Canadian Ragweed's OSU reunion shows?

Over the years, the members of Ragweed, especially Canada, have expressed their doubts about the likelihood of a reunion, even as fans have watched other top Red Dirt bands who had disbanded successfully come back together.

The Great Divide finally healed their divide in 2011, and that seminal band's second act now has lasted as long as its first. The Turnpike Troubadours are two and half years into their own successful reunion and playing venues bigger than the ones they were filling up before their hiatus.

The Turnpike Troubadours are co-headlining both "The Boys from Oklahoma" concerts alongside the reunited Ragweed, and The Great Divide announced on Facebook plans to play the April 10, 12 and 13 shows. The Great Divide frontman Mike McClure 's eponymous band will perform at the April 11 concert.

Fellow Red Dirt music stars Jason Boland & The Stragglers and Stoney LaRue are on the bill for all four stadium shows.

"The demand for these shows has been beyond belief and we’re just so excited to get to perform for you all in April in Stillwater, OK where it all began," LaRue posted on social media Tuesday afternoon.

What is the expected impact of the Cross Canadian Ragweed reunion shows?

The Cross Canadian Ragweed reunion shows will be the first concerts at Boone Pickens Stadium since the home of OSU football was rededicated in 2009 after a dramatic $286 million renovation.

Cross said on Facebook he was humble and happy to perform on "The Boys From Oklahoma" concerts.

"Thank you Stillwater," he posted. "Can't wait to see you."

OSU athletic director Chad Weiberg said in a statement that the concerts will benefit OSU's NIL efforts. OSU has a general name, image and likeness fund that benefits every player on the football team's roster.

Local businesses are reportedly already preparing for the massive influx of music fans Ragweed's four-night concert stand is expected to bring.

“Stillwater is the birthplace of Red Dirt music, and it means so much that these world-famous artists maintain such a strong connection to our community," said Stillwater Mayor Will Joyce in a statement.

Although no additional shows have been confirmed, the staggering demand for tickets to Ragweed's upcoming Stillwater concerts has led to rampant speculation among fans that the Red Dirt rockers will take their reunion on tour.

“Thank you for still being there for us after this long break. We love you," Plato said on Facebook .
