Here are three takeaways from Class 5A top-ranked Carl Albert’s 54-7 win at Noble on Thursday night.

    Carl Albert 54, Noble 7

Player of the game: Ethan Spiwak. The Carl Albert senior kicker broke the Titans’ program record for most successful career field goals and did so in emphatic fashion. After hitting one earlier in the game, Spiwak lined up for his second attempt from 51 yards out and sent it just over the crossbar, giving the Titans a 40-0 lead with 48.7 seconds left in the second quarter.

Top moment: Spiwak’s 51-yard field goal was likely the most notable highlight, but the Titans had several other big plays. Their defense had yet another dominant performance, while the offense was equally impressive, from senior quarterback Devin Woodring throwing two touchdown passes to senior running back LT Simmons running for two scores.

Carl Albert defense finally gives up a point: The Titans hadn’t allowed a point all season, but that streak came to end as Noble senior backup quarterback Dawson Davis ran for a score with 4:31 left in the fourth quarter. Carl Albert is now winning each game by an average of 56.2-1.2.
