Heavy rain intensity possible today and Friday

Ongoing showers are expected to increase in coverage and intensity with a lull period in Thursday evening and a second round overnight into Friday.

According to the National Weather Service, a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) exists for lower Southeast Texas and Western Cameron Parish exists, while a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) exists for most of the interior of Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana.
