Receiver, defensive back among 8 absent: What we saw at Oregon football practice on Tuesday
EUGENE — Two players who played in Oregon’s win at UCLA were among eight players absent from practice Tuesday morning. Receiver Kyler Kasper and defensive back Khamari Terrell were among not with the No. 6 Ducks, who host Michigan State on Friday. The other six absent players were all absent from last Wednesday’s practice due to injury.
Tom Spanbauer, Oregon author and renowned writing teacher, dies at 78
When Tom Spanbauer was 19, he kept a journal he called “The Truth Book.” In it, he recorded observations he felt were too taboo to say out loud. He kept the book taped to the underside of his sock drawer. Eventually, though, his mother discovered it. When he came home that night, his father confronted him about the journal and kicked Spanbauer out of the house. So Spanbauer left home and enrolled at Idaho State University.

The Seattle Seahawks had one of the best defenses statistically in the NFL entering Week 4. The Seahawks were ranked second overall, first in pass defense and fourth in scoring defense after Week 3. Gonzaga joins the Pac-12 beginning in 2026, becomes conference’s 8th school
