Bonsai focus of free educational program

Local bonsai expert Zach Adamz will introduce the art and horticulture of bonsai during a free educational program sponsored by the Oxford Newcomers Club.

The introductory styling demonstration will cover foundational elements of tree care and styling, allowing each participant to learn the nuances of bonsai appreciation, cultivation and creation through an interactive Q&A.

The program will be open to the public, with no membership, registration fee or advance notice required.

It will be held at 10 a.m. on Oct. 24 at the North East Mississippi Electric Power Association/NE SPARC auditorium. There is plenty of free parking.
