The newest member of the Leech Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is Bay Beauty Co., located on Sixth Street in downtown Walker. Waleya, the business owner, says she stumbled into the beauty industry 12 years ago. She started out as a tattoo artist and discovered eyelash extensions while working on a client. That led to training and she soon became a trainer for JB Lashes in California. In 2012, she attended Esthetic School, and introduced eyelash extensions to northern Minnesota. Waleya’s business grew quickly while working in Bemidji the past 11 years, and she is now working in Walker exclusively where she is focusing on medical grade skincare line ZO.
