Leech Lake Rural Resource Network to meet April 17

    By staff reports,

    2024-04-09

Finding services in rural America can be a challenge, but the service providers in the Leech Lake area are working hard to network and share information on their services with others in the area.

If you are part of a service organization or program, come April 17 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Leech Lake Area Chamber of Commerce in Walker (or by zoom link) to share information and learn about what’s new in the area.

This will be the first of a series of quarterly meetings held the third Wednesday of January, April, July and October. Attendees may include government agencies, chamber of commerce, media, churches, school and community education, homecare agencies, clinics, mental health, social support agencies, arts, public library, extension services, civic groups, and various nonprofits such as DAC, BiCAP, Legal Aid, Faith in Action, Family Safety Network, Walker Area Pregnancy Center and more.

Participants will have the opportunity to share what is happening at their organization and discuss the needs of the community. Please bring business cards, brochures or handouts to share. There is no cost or registration needed.

The meeting April 17 will be hosted by Faith in Action for Cass County, the Family Safety Network and the Leech Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

For more information about the Rural Resource Network Meeting or to get a zoom link, please call Faith in Action at (218) 675-5435 or email Theresa Eclov at cassfia@uslink.net
