Shingobee Township makes annual donations of $8,500

Upon recommendation of township electors in attendance at the annual meeting conducted during March, Shingobee Township recently awarded donation checks to several organizations.

Shingobee Township allocates a small part of its levy — 4 percent during 2024 — for distribution to area organizations that provide services that benefit township residents.

Donations for 2024 totaled $8,500 and included $250 to Cass County Agriculture Association for the county fair, $1,000 to Cass County Museum and Historical Society, $250 to Crisis Line and Referral Service, $500 to Cass County Faith in Action, $250 to Family Safety Network, $250 to Lakes Area Dive Team, $2,000 to Lake May Center, $250 to Support Within Reach, $2,000 to Walker Area Community Center, $750 to Walker Area Food Shelf, $500 to Walker Bay Theatre and $500 to Walker Area Foundation for Walker on the Fourth.
