Seven from PN-G baseball named Academic All-State

Seven area high school standouts have another accolade to the back of their baseball cards.

Seven players from the Port Neches-Groves baseball program earned Academic All-State honors from the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association.

• Chase Johnson, 2nd Team
• Brady Brashers, 2nd Team
• Reid Richard, 2nd Team
• Heston Edwards, Honorable Mention
• Ryder Chiasson, Honorable Mention
• Max Scroggs, Honorable Mention
• Cade Tompkins, Honorable Mention

Members of the 2023-2024 Academic All-State teams were nominated by coaches and selected amongst seniors who excelled in GPA, class rank and ACT/SAT score.
