TRAFFIC ALERT: U.S. 69, prison area affected through noon today/Wednesdsay

Beaumont Police Department will be assisting Entergy with rolling stops on U.S. 69 from 8:30 a.m. until noon today/Wednesday.

This will affect all lanes of traffic including service roads, according to information from BPD.

Entergy will be installing power lines across the highway, specifically in the area in front of the Jefferson County Jail and along U.S. 69.

**Expect delays** and prepare for stoppages that will last around 20 minutes at a time, with brief openings in between. If possible, please use alternate routes!
