Services for beloved choir director Dr. Lawrence Ingram announced

Services for beloved choir director Dr. Lawrence Ingram have been announced.

One service will be held in Florida and a second one in Texas.

Services

Local: A memorial celebration will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 30 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 3920 W. Cardinal Drive, Beaumont.

Florida: A celebration of life and legacy will be at noon Aug. 23 at Greater New Hope Anointed Ministries, 2104 Mud Lake Road, Plant City, Florida. Public visitation is from 11 a.m. to noon.

Lawrence was a veteran music educator of more than 41 years lovingly called Pop by his students.

He was currently working at West Orange-Stark High School and was planning to take his students on a trip out of state, as was his tradition

He also worked in the Port Arthur Independent School District for a number of years among other districts. Former students say he truly made a difference in their lives.
