Flood watches have been issued from 7 p.m. today until 7 a.m. Tuesday for both Brown and Outagamie counties, according to the National Weather Service Green Bay.

The weather service predicts areas could see up to 2 inches of rain, which could lead to flooding in local and major streets, with rivers, creeks and ditches likely to rise.

The weather service said the rain is coming from Eau Claire, and then moving to the southeastern part of Wisconsin. It will be the heaviest overnight before it comes to an end Tuesday morning.

The highest rain totals are expected in the Fox Cities.

Those who live along the East River in Green Bay could see high water.

"It could be an inch and a half in the Green Bay area. The East River, out by Hoffman Road and Greenleaf, the water comes up and sometimes a few roads are closed over there," said Richard Mamrosh, meteorologist for the National Weather Service Green Bay.
