    New Neenah Boys & Girls Club to hold ground breaking Tuesday

    NEENAH — The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley Inc. is hosting a ceremony to kick off construction on its new facility in Neenah. The ground breaking will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at 2060 Marathon Ave., followed by a brief ceremony.

    The ceremony will feature words from the club's Board President Shannon Bazinaw, CEO Greg Lemke-Rochon, as well as Neenah's Mayor Jane Lang. According to the club, fundraising efforts have led to nearly $15 million in funding for the facility.

    The new Boys & Girls Club space will span 35,000 square feet and aims to provide for 1,000 boys and girls and their families by July of 2025. The facility will feature a Life & Workforce Readiness Center, dance studio, sensory room, trio of learning centers, among other spaces. The goal is for the children and their families to be able to use the space by the beginning of the 2025-26 school year.

    The Boys & Girls Club of Neenah will be the 16th club location in Fox Valley area. The group first came to the area in 1998 in downtown Appleton , before breaking ground on sites in Menasha in 2015 , and Manitowoc in 2020, with Neenah now being the fourth stand-alone center in the region.
