    Neenah 42, Appleton East 0

    NEENAH - The Rockets held the Patriots to zero yards of offense in the first quarter and 52 yards in the first half and allowed only three first downs in the first half of the Fox Valley Association game.

    Offensively, Neenah moved the ball with relative ease against the Patriots, rushing for 233 yards and passing for 70 more.

    Grant Dean scored three touchdowns in the first quarter, scoring on a 1-yard run, a 71-yard punt return and a 58-yard run.

    Dean finished with 87 yards rushing, while Evan Vanevenhoven had 52 yards rushing and 70 passing. Dray Hannan added 64 yards rushing.

    Appleton East finished with 69 yards rushing and 19 yards passing and was led by Kyreese White with 26 yards rushing on 10 carries.

    HORTONVILLE - The Ghosts (2-1, 1-0 Fox Valley Association) erupted for 28 points in the second quarter to take control and beat the Polar Bears at Akin Field.

    Bron Schaefer had a hand in all five touchdowns for the Ghosts. He ran for a 3-yard score and finished with four touchdown passes, including two each to Parker Schuh (61, 32 yards) and Kavanaugh Weyenberg (10, 33).

    Schuh finished with three catches for 108 yards with Weyenberg totaling nine catches for 91 yards.

    Ashton Vallner had a 6-yard touchdown run for Hortonville (0-3, 0-1).

    KIMBERLY - Brayden Bell had three touchdown runs for the Papermakers in the Fox Valley Association victory over the Wildcats.

    Kegan Pleau added a pair of touchdowns for Kimberly, one on a run and another on a pass reception. He finished with 117 yards rushing on six carries.

    APPLETON - The Lightning defense limited the Cardinals to just one score and the offense got a solid effort from Charlie Olson and Bobby Salm in the victory at Paul Engen Field.

    Salm scored on a 24-yard run in the first quarter and Olson scored on a 5-yard run in the third. Olson added a 5-yard touchdown pass to Gavin Zielinski with 9:43 left in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.

    The win improves North to 2-1 on the season and 1-0 in the FVA.

    Brillion 35, Chilton 7

    BRILLION - The Lions jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and cruised to the win over the Tigers.

    Brennen Kleist and Hayden Cousin each scored two touchdowns for Brillion, which improved to 3-0 overall.

    APPLETON - The Lightning outlasted the Polar Bears 25-20, 25-17, 25-22 in Fox Valley Association action.

    Leading North were Chloe North with eight digs and two aces, JJ Brozek with four kills, Lydia Koshuta with 22 assists and five digs, Kayden Lamon with 12 kills, Hannah Moua with 15 assists and five digs, Teegan Charapata with 18 kills and two aces, Ayda Henning with three kills, Alivia Barker with three kills and Ellis Brinkman with three aces.

    “I am proud of how our girls played and responded tonight against a scrappy Hortonville team,” North coach Steve Scheuerell said. “We played great defense and found ways to win.”

    Xavier 3, Shawano 0

    APPLETON - Sydney Neilitz had 24 assists, five digs and two aces to help propel Xavier to a 25-16, 26-24, 25-22 Bay Conference win over Shawano.

    Also leading the Xavier attack were Jena Bunks with seven digs and two aces, Elle Downs with three kills, Rose Kendall with five kills, Grace Hackl with 16 digs, Ali Tylinski with five kills, Lily Renz with five aces, and Madison Daley with 16 kills and 10 digs.

    Fox Valley Lutheran 3, Denmark 0

    APPLETON - The Foxes defeated the Vikings 25-20, 25-11, 25-9 in North Eastern Conference action.

    Leading the way for the Foxes were Ava Patchett with 18 assists and five aces, Hannah Uhlenbrauck with 11 kills, and Riley Schmitz with 25 digs and three assists.

    Luxemburg-Casco 3, Little Chute 0

    LUXEMBURG - The Spartans swept the Mustangs 25-14, 25-13, 25-12 in a North Eastern Conference match.

    Alayna Deprez had 31 assists, seven digs and three aces for the Spartans. Aubrey Frey added nine kills and nine digs, Ella Vander Velden had nine kills and five digs, Claire Schleis had eight kills and Rylan Kaminski had 13 digs.

    “It was great to get back on the winning track tonight and get our first conference win of the year,” Luxemburg-Casco coach Jeff Frey said. “We did some good things tonight and took care of business. We still have a ton of growing to do, and that’s the most exciting thing and what we are focused on.”

    BOYS SOCCER

    Kimberly 9, Appleton West 1

    APPLETON - Liam Paradiso scored three goals and added three assists as the Papermakers downed the Terrors in a Fox Valley Association match cut short at the 63rd minute.

    Paradiso opened the scoring at the 8:27 mark and the Papermakers never looked back.

    Also scoring goals for Kimberly were Owen Weidert with two, and Tyler Cruse, Jack Berger, Joel Colvin and Tyler Hohnberger with one each.

    Adding assists for the Papermakers were Marek Dempsey with two, and Brodie Hemmersbach and Weidert with one each.

    Appleton West scored on a breakaway at the 32:59 mark of the first half.

    Kimberly outshot Appleton West 13-2.

    Noah Sommer made three saves in net for the Papermakers, while Appleton West made two saves.

    St. Mary Catholic 1, Menasha 0

    MENASHA - Kieran Barrientos scored the game’s only goal to lift the Zephyrs past the Bluejays.

    Wes Auth assisted on the game-winning goal.

    Zephyrs goalie Zach Beyer made 10 saves for the shutout.

    Pulaski 1, Hortonville 0

    PULASKI - Maddox McKeefry scored off an assist from Nolan Pratt in the 22nd minute as the Red Raiders blanked the Polar Bears in nonconference action.

    The game was called at the start of the second half due to severe weather.

    Josh Roth made four saves in net for Pulaski, while Grant Decker made three for Hortonville.
