Culver's announces debut of Hot Honey Cheese Curds, and the return of the CurderBurger

APPLETON - Culver's joins the sweet and spicy trend with the debut of its new limited-time-only Hot Honey Cheese Curds.

Alongside the newly flavored cheese curds is the return of the CurderBurger, appearing for a limited time only for the fourth year in a row.

Starting Oct. 15, National Cheese Curd Day, customers can try Hot Honey Cheese Curds, golden-fried signature Wisconsin cheese curds made with hot honey breading.

The Hot Honey Cheese Curds will be available nationwide through Oct. 31 or while supplies last.

"We've championed cheese curds for decades and we're always looking for ways to deliver uniquely delicious curd experiences to our guests," said Julie Fussner, chief marketing officer at Culver's in a news release. "We can't wait to see everyone's response to the new Hot Honey Cheese Curds and the continued love for the CurderBurger throughout the month."

The idea of the CurderBurger was originally an April Fool’s Day joke when the company posted a picture of a large cheese curd between two buns, captioned "One big Wisconsin Cheese Curd under a lightly buttered, toasted bun. Isn't it beautiful?"

Culver's fans loved the idea so much that petitions were made demanding the restaurant actually make the burger, and the company listened. Shortly after, Culver's debuted the signature burger, a ButterBurger topped with a breaded yellow and white cheddar cheese curd crown.

Customers can enjoy the CurderBurger from Oct. 1 through 14.
