    Freedom 49, Sheboygan Falls 6

    FREEDOM - Nixon Heinke carried 15 times for 115 yards and four touchdowns as the Irish built a big halftime advantage and never looked back in the North Eastern Conference football win .

    Drew Kortz was 12-for-17 passing for 277 yards and three touchdowns to help power Freedom.

    The Irish led 21-6 after one quarter and 35-6 at intermission as they moved to 6-0 in the North Eastern Conference and 8-0 overall.

    The loss drops Sheboygan Falls to 1-5 and 1-7.

    TWO RIVERS - The Hawks took a 21-0 lead in the first quarter to take control of the game in their win over the Purple Raiders.

    Xavier stuck mainly to the ground, rushing 51 times for 357 yards. Cole Hietpas ran for 157 yards and three touchdowns, and Matthew Potter ran for 114 yards and three touchdowns.

    Eli Mares intercepted three passes on defense for Xavier.

    LITTLE CHUTE - Brock Gardner scored from 2 yards out with 8:54 remaining in the game to propel the Mustangs past the Spartans.

    The win clinches a postseason berth for Little Chute.

    The touchdown was set up by a 58-yard pass from quarterback Cooper Effa to running back Reece Joten. Effa was scrambling to his left when he found Joten leaking out of the backfield. Joten then outraced the defense to the Spartans 2.

    Little Chute is 4-2 in the North Eastern Conference and 5-3 overall, while Luxemburg-Casco falls to 4-2 and 4-4.

    APPLETON - Brody Schaffer had four rushing touchdowns to lead the Wolves past Fox Valley Lutheran.

    The Wolves remain undefeated (8-0, 6-0 Bay) and clinched at least a share of the Bay Conference title. They finish the regular season at home against Seymour and a win there will allow Winneconne to win the Bay title outright.

    Schaffer, a 6-foot-1, 184-pound junior quarterback, had scoring runs of 67, 2, 44 and 80 yards. His last two touchdowns occured in the fourth quarter to allow Winneconne to pull away.

    Jacoby Dobberstein had a pair of touchdown receptions to lead Fox Valley Lutheran (4-4, 2-4), which needs a win next Friday at Shawano to become playoff eligible.

    Oshkosh West sectional

    GRAND CHUTE - Neenah rolled to the team title, piling up 56 points to finish 26 points ahead of runner-up Xavier and advance to the WIAA state team tournament.

    Izzy Murray of Neenah won the No. 1 singles title with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Dana Keesler of Xavier.

    Neenah’s Meredith Werner and Sydney Michalkiewicz won the No. 1 doubles title with a 7-6, 6-1 win over Kate Jannette and Mariel Pante of Xavier.

    The individual state tournament is Oct. 17-19 and the team tournament is Oct. 25-26 at Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison.

    GREEN BAY - Notre Dame won the team title with 47 points to advance to the state team tournament.

    The Tritons’ 47 points was six better than runner-up Bay Port.

    Bay Port’s Karlie Schock won the No. 1 singles title, while the Pirates’ doubles team of Khali Stephens and Alexia Stephens won the No. 1 doubles title.

    Schock won the singles title with a 7-6, 6-0 victory over West De Pere’s Lexie Hankel.

    Khali Stephens and Alexia Stephens won the doubles title with a 6-7, 6-3, 10-7 win over De Pere’s Ana Cristescu and Maria Cristescu.

    Vivie Auth and Adel Schneider of St. Mary Catholic took first place at No. 1 doubles with a 7-6 (3), 3-6, 10-4 victory over Sophia Torke and Grace Villwock of Kohler.

    Emily Vogel and Nadia Alexander of SMC took first at No. 2 doubles to also advance to state with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Charlotte Bullard and Melanie Pellegrino of Kohler.

    KIMBERLY - The Papermakers defeated the Ghosts 25-18, 25-21, 25-27, 25-18 on Senior Night for Kimberly.

    Ava Reis led Kimberly with 20 kills. Ava Van Camp had 21 digs. Emma Tesch had 32 assists.

    “Kaukauna is a very dynamic team and they challenged us in many ways. I am so proud of how our girls fought adversity and weathered the storm of Kaukauna’s runs to pull off the Senior Night win tonight,” Kimberly coach Sam D’Acquisto said.

    APPLETON - The Lightning dominated the Patriots 25-10, 25-11, 25-17 in Fox Valley Association action.

    “Our girls executed at a high level tonight against a scrappy, well-coached East team,” North coach Steve Scheuerell said. “I love how we are playing.”

    Leading the Lightning were Chloe North with 13 digs, Lydia Koshuta with 19 assists, four digs and two aces, Kayden Lamon with eight kills and five blocks, Hannah Moua with 14 assists and four digs, Gracie Hartjes with two blocks and three kills, Teegan Charapata with 22 kills and six digs, and Ellis Brinkman with three aces and two kills.

    GREEN BAY - The Hawks took charge early and rolled to a 25-11, 25-11, 25-13 win over the Wildcats in Bay Conference action.

    The win moves Xavier to 6-0 in conference play.

    Leading the offense for the Hawks were Sydney Neilitz with eight aces and 20 assists, Jena Bunks with three aces, Elle Downs with six kills, Rose Kendall with three assists, Lexi Allen with three kills, Grace Hackl with four aces, Ali Tylinski with four kills, Madison Daley with eight aces and three kills, and Braelee Kiepert with two aces and three kills.

    St. Mary Catholic 3, Iola-Scandinavia 1

    FOX CROSSING - The Zephyrs dropped the first set and then won three straight in the win over the Thunderbirds 23-25, 25-15, 25-22, 25-17.

    Autumn Crowe had 11 kills and 10 digs for St. Mary Catholic. Sammi Weiss had 14 assists. Stella Virlee had 10 assists, while Eliana Brenn had five kills and five blocks.

    BOYS SOCCER

    Fox Valley Lutheran 12, Little Chute 0

    APPLETON - The Foxes scored eight first-half goals and cruised to the North Eastern Conference win.

    Kaleb Williams led the onslaught with two goals and four assists, while Ezra Schaser scored two goals and added three assists.

    Also scoring two goals were Caleb Shively, who also added an assist, and Jackson Mayer.

    Adding one goal each were Ian Luehring, Jin Lee, Noah Selle and Marti Hostalot Heredia.

    Luehring added two assists with Mason Stark adding one.

    Justin Miller and Keaton Enter shared goalkeeping duries for FVL, but neither recorded a save.

    Ripon 8, Freedom 0

    RIPON - The Tigers scored two goals in the first half before putting the match out of reach.

    Harrison Julian and Carson Kaiser scored two goals each, while Kaiser added three assists.

    Also scoring goals for Ripon were Ray Ellis, Malachi Wisneski, Seth Kastenschmidt and Logan Pollesch.

    Pollesch and Devin Donovan added one assist each.

    Cody Kamin made one save in net for the Tigers.

    SUN PRAIRIE – Miles Weaver had 18 kills and two aces as the Rockets won 25-16, 25-8, 25-22.

    Trevor Ricketts added seven kills and four blocks, Julian Kuehn had seven kills and seven digs, and Cam Diekfuss had 38 assists for Neenah.
