    School canceled for Prentiss Christian tomorrow; JDC moves to virtual learning due to severe weather threat

    Overnight the National Weather Service increased the risk for severe storms in Jefferson Davis County for Wednesday. JDC  now under a moderate risk (4 out of 5) for severe storms tomorrow.

    Due to the impending severe weather, Prentiss Christian School will be closed tomorrow and all school-related activities have been cancelled.

    All Jefferson Davis County Schools will implement a virtual learning schedule.

    These storms are likely to bring damaging winds up to 80 mph, hail, and strong tornadoes. The timing of this event is expected to be from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. tomorrow.
