    We've had rain, we've had wind, we've had weather warnings and watches galore. So what is in store for us this week? According to the National Weather Service , it looks like a dark and stormy Monday followed by a sunny summer week. Check out the details below.

    Stormy Monday followed by sunny week in store for the Tri-Cities

    Expect a gloomy, stormy Monday followed by a mostly sunny few days this week in the Tri-Cities. The week's high will be in the mid 80s on Monday and reach average nighttime lows in the high 50s.

    No A.C.? Check out Hopewell's cooling shelters and Petersburg's comfort station . Both are open throughout the summer to help locals beat the heat. Water will be provided at both during operating hours.

    Monday : A chance of showers and thunderstorms between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 5pm. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

    Monday night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 8 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
