    The Healthy Harvest Fair is coming to the Tri-City area next Saturday, October 5!

    Hosted by Central Virginia Health Services (CVHS) Hopewell-Prince George , this free community healthcare event will have healthcare and community service providers available to speak to attendees as well as on-site health resources available and fun for the whole family.

    Attendees can expect:

    • Exciting prize giveaways
    • Games, including Cornhole, a bouncy house and more
    • Food and refreshments, including a lemonade stand
    • Free fresh produce
    • Music
    • Flu shots
    • Fitness & self-care information
    • Healthcare/community services providers and resources
    • And more!

    The Healthy Harvest Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hopewell-Prince George CVHS health center, located at 4260 Crossings Blvd, Prince George, VA. Bring your family, friends, and loved ones to enjoy this free community event!

    Central Virginia Health Services: Affordable healthcare in the Tri-Cities

    Looking for affordable local healthcare? CVHS offers primary care, including physicals, sick visits, immunizations, chronic disease management, preventative/wellness care and more for patients of all ages on a sliding scale based on what patients can afford. They also offer dental care for adults and children, including everything from cleanings to extractions to fillings, also on a sliding scale.

    Additionally, the center offers behavioral health services on a sliding scale as well, including individual, family, couples and group therapy for children/adolescents ages 5 and older and adults, as well as treatment of mood, anxiety and adjustment disorders, school-related problems, caregiver-child attachment, foster care issues, grief, stress management, coping with chronic illness and more.

    All insurance plans are welcomed, including Medicaid and Medicare. Patients without insurance are welcomed as well. Patients with financial concerns are encouraged to ask for a sliding fee discount. To be considered for a siliding fee, please bring proof of income with you, including but not limited to pay stubs totaling one month's pay, your W-2 or most recent tax return, or a letter from your employer verifying your income.

    CVHS Petersburg Recovery Center: Affordable local substance abuse recovery treatment

    Looking for affordable substance abuse recovery treatment for yourself or a loved one? The CVHS Petersburg Recovery Center can help. They offer medication assisted treatment, group and individual psychotherapy, peer support, case management services and more at affordable prices. The center also offers free Revive! opiate overdose training to those who are interested, as well as Narcan, a medication used to reverse opioid overdoses.

    The center aims to promote harm reduction according to the goals of each individual client, prioritizing the dignity, worth and self-determination of every person seeking care.

    Located at 541 South Sycamore Street, the Petersburg Recovery Center accepts most insurances as well as uninsured patients, and offers discounts for qualified low-income patients.
