HOPEWELL — Don't miss the Bagful of Books Sale during National Friends of Libraries Week. For only $2, hungry bookworms can stuff all the reads they can fit in one bag to take home and devour.

The annual event hosted by the Friends of the Hopewell - Prince George Libraries is on Saturday, October 26 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Hopewell Manufacturing Association Room at the Hopewell Public Library located at 209 E. Cawson Street.

"We will have hundreds upon hundreds of books for sale from different genres and authors," Jimmy Nickerson, community relations coordinator for Appomattox Regional Library System, said. "The best part is you can bring a grocery bag and fill it full of books and only pay the low cost of $2 per bag."

Whether you’re on the hunt for a timeless classic, an enthralling mystery or educational materials, the Bagful of Books Sale has something to offer everyone. Children’s books are in limited supply so arrive early. Standard-sized plastic grocery bags or reusable totes may be used to carry away literary treasures. Plastic grocery bags will be provided on-site while stocks last.

Volunteers strive to categorize books by genre and author beforehand, however, the sorting is general, adding an element of excitement as bookworms explore to uncover hidden gems.
