Good morning, I'm Will Richmond at The Providence Journal and this is the Daily Briefing.

The filming of "Ella McCay" has garnered plenty of attention. From shutting down sections of the State House and Providence neighborhoods to Jamie Lee Curtis giving restaurant tips on her Instagram account, the movie has Rhode Island's attention and it's not even close to theaters yet.

Now that filming has wrapped up locally, we can fondly look back at the attention the film has received.

The Journal's Paul Parker offers an inside look at how behind-the-scenes location scouts and artisans found and dressed the sets used in the James L. Brooks comedy. Paul also has a list of all the places the movie was filmed in the state, so when it appears on the big screen you can point them all out.

    • Maybe the name doesn't say it all.

Women & Infants Hospital has quietly shifted to treat more men and children and the change is raising some concern among staff.

The Journal's Antonia Farzan reports on why nurses are raising attention about the change.

    • A ring of thieves targeted inbound and outbound U.S. Mail as they worked their jobs at a central sorting facility that handles mail for all of Rhode Island and much of southeastern Massachusetts.

The Journal's Mark Reynolds has the details on U.S. Attorney Zachary A. Cunha's announcement from Wednesday.

    • You may remember Joy Fox from her candidacy for the 2nd Congressional District, or seen her name next to quotes as she served as a spokesperson for folks such as former congressman Jim Langevin and Gov. Gina Raimondo. Now she's the owner of three Rhode Island newspapers.

The Journal's Jonny Williams caught up with Fox to learn more about her plans and balancing her role with a consulting firm.

    • A special thanks to "Wallace the Brave" creator Will Henry for joining us last night at the Maurey J. Lootjens Library in Narragansett. It was great seeing everyone who came out for our Meet and Greet with Will and we look forward to holding more events in the future.
