New rum drinks and a Rum Day pizza are just two of the food and drink events that will be held across Rhode Island between now and Labor Day Weekend.

It's officially church festival season with this weekend all about Greek food in Pawtucket. Next weekend, Romanian food is featured in Woonsocket.

The charitable Little Sisters of the Poor will host a major fundraiser in Pawtucket.

Narragansett Beer will pair their Fresh Catch with a Low County Clam Boil on Sunday.

Rhythm & Roots may not be a food festival but there will be many delicious tastes over Labor Day weekend at Ninigret Park in Charlestown.

Here's the lineup for fun food things to do through Labor Day.

    National Rum Day

National Rum Day is coming up on Friday, Aug. 16.

South County Distillers is celebrating at the Grey Sail Taproom at 63 Canal St. Westerly. There will be drink specials and live music. Vetrano's Wood Fired Pizza will feature a special Rum Day pizza topped with pulled pork and pineapple slaw.

Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling Co. , makers of Thomas Tew Rum, will celebrate with the release of two new rums at 293 JT Connell Highway in Newport. One is aged in Oloroso Sherry casks and another in Pedro Ximénez casks. There will be six brand new specialty cocktails.

Festivities include entertainment from a live DJ and free giveaways from 5 to 9 p.m. You can enjoy drinks on the newly constructed outdoor bar and patio.
