PROVIDENCE – If you've got a couple million laying around, you could be the new owner of the latest Rhode Island house featured on Zillow Gone Wild.

It's easy to see why the popular Instagram account that features one-of-kind houses shone the spotlight on this mid-century modern a block off Blackstone Boulevard just south of Swan Point Cemetery. And it's not just because the house got a mention in Architectural Digest in 1958, though that fact is highlighted in the ZGW post.

BTW, that's the year the house house was built, at 33 Intervale Road .

Real estate broker Jim DeRentis, of Residential Properties Ltd., notes in his listing , "The graceful, rounded entry way invites you into a salon with 15' ceilings. Floor to ceiling windows with carved wood panels allows light to stream in, casting artful shadows along the rich wood floors that flow throughout the space."

The 4,996-square-foot house, with four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, boasts:

    • A family room with a fireplace and custom cocktail bar
    • A vintage powder room
    • A dining room plus eat-in kitchen
    • A sweeping curved staircase to the second floor
    • A bedroom suite including a dressing area with built-in wardrobes
    • A lower-level recreation room with full bar and billiard table

Wanna check it out? Open houses are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Did we say a couple of million? The asking price was just reduced, and it's yours for the taking for just $1,985,000!

The prices in this state make no sense. How high can the average income of Rhode Islanders about 60,000, yet, the house prices are ridiculously high in this state. I ask why? My theory is the state provides help to first time home buyers. That would make more houses available which now real estate becomes inflated for average people. This is expected when you live in a dictatorship state in which voting is unnecessary.
