McDonald's Boo Buckets are coming back for Halloween. Here's when you can get one

It's spooky season at McDonald's : Boo Buckets are back.

The fast food giant announced Tuesday that the fan favorite Boo Buckets will be back for a limited time in the weeks leading up to Halloween.

The Boo Buckets come with a Happy Meal and can be used for trick-or-treating. This year, the buckets are monster-themed and will be available in white, green, orange and blue.

McDonald's first sold the Boo Buckets in 1986 but have only brought them back sporadically since, according to USA Today . This will be the third year in a row the buckets will be available for Halloween.

How to get a McDonald's Boo Bucket

McDonald's Boo Buckets will be available starting Oct. 15 for a limited time. They will replace the regular Happy Meal box as long as supplies last.

The buckets will be available at participating locations. To check which locations are offering Boo Buckets, customers can check their local restaurant's menu using the McDonald's app. The price will vary depending on location.

What comes in the McDonald's Boo Bucket?

McDonald's Boo Buckets are available with the purchase of a Happy Meal, which includes an entree choice of a hamburger, 4-piece or 6-piece Chicken McNuggets, a side of fries or apple slices and a drink.

The buckets come in white, green, orange and for the first, time, blue. There is a monster on the outside of the bucket and they also come with stickers for customization.
