Check out Pueblo's Games of the Week to watch for Oct. 7-12

October is finally here and there are a lot of great games left in the fall prep sports season.

There are plenty of games to choose from this week, including golf, tennis, softball, volleyball, cross country, and football.

Golf

Boys Varsity State Championship

Walking Stick Golf Course

• Monday, Oct 7, 2024, 8 a.m.- Tuesday, Oct 8, 2024, 8 a.m.

The boys' Class 3A state championships will be held at Walking Stick this week.

Tennis

Boys Varsity Regional Tournament

• Friday, Oct 11, 2024, 9 a.m.- Saturday, Oct 12, 2024, 9 a.m. at City Park-Regional Tournament

The boys’ Class 3A regionals will take place at City Park this weekend.

Cross Country

• Wednesday, Oct 9, 2024, 5 p.m. at Pueblo Country Club

The Pueblo West Cyclones host their Cyclone Invite this week at Pueblo County Club a few weeks before the regionals kick off.

Softball

• Pueblo Centennial vs. Pueblo West at Pueblo West High School Monday, Oct 7, 2024, 3 p.m.
• Fountain-Fort Carson vs. Pueblo West at Pueblo West High School Tuesday, Oct 8, 2024, 4.
• Florence vs. Dolores Huerta at Dolores Huerta Preparatory Tuesday, Oct 8, 2024, 5 p.m.
• Canon City vs. Pueblo Centennial at Runyon Sports Complex Saturday, Oct 12, 2024, 10 a.m.

The softball regular season is wrapping up this week with a few games in town to choose from. Pueblo West will host Pueblo Centennial on Monday then on Tuesday they will host Fountain Fort Carson. Also on Tuesday, the Scorpions will host Florence. On Saturday, Centennial wraps up the week with a game against Canon City.

• Vista Ridge vs. Pueblo West at Pueblo West High School Tuesday, Oct 8, 2024, 6:30 p.m.

Volleyball season is quickly approaching its end to the regular season, but there is still plenty of action to watch this week. The Scorpions will host Elbert on Monday. Tuesday Las Animas visits the Spartans, Fowler visits the Thunderbolts, the Bulldogs visit the Hornets, the Colts visit the Eagles, and the Cyclones will host Vista Ridge. On Wednesday, Pueblo Central will travel to Pueblo East. Then on Thursday, the Scorpions host Liberty Tree and South heads to Centennial.

Unified Bowling

Tuesday, Oct 8, 2024, 4:30 p.m. at Big Daddy's Bowl

• Pueblo Centennial vs. Rye
• Pueblo West vs. Pueblo South
• Pueblo County vs. Salida

Another round of Unified Bowling takes place in Pueblo with several of Pueblo’s teams in action.

Soccer

• Pueblo South vs. Pueblo East at Dutch Clark Stadium Tuesday, Oct 8, 2024, 7 p.m.

The boys’ soccer regular season is quickly coming to an end and it's time for some teams to make their final pushes. This week will see the Scorpions host Fountain Valley on Tuesday, followed by South visiting East and Central visiting County. Then on Thursday, Liberty visits Pueblo West.

Football

• Discovery Canyon vs. Pueblo Centennial at Dutch Clark Stadium Friday, Oct 11, 2024, 7 p.m.

• Mesa Ridge vs. Pueblo West at Pueblo West High School Friday, Oct 11, 2024, 7 p.m.
• Ellicot vs. Rye at Rye High School Friday, Oct 11, 2024, 7 p.m.
• Buena Vista vs. Dolores Huerta at Pueblo West High School Saturday, Oct 12, 2024, 1 p.m.

There are lots of football games in town this week for you to choose from. On Thursday, Pueblo East hosts Sierra. Then on Friday, a quadruple header is on the docket with Centennial hosting Discovery Canyon, County hosting Coronado, Pueblo West hosting Mesa Ridge, and Rye hosting Ellicot. Then on Saturday, Dolores Huerta hosts Buena Vista.
