    Cops take on Bikers in annual Toy Bowl and more Things to Do in Pueblo this weekend

    Friday, Oct. 11

    Ghost Walk in downtown Pueblo

    Fuel and Iron Food Hall, 400 S. Union Ave. | 5-8 p.m. Oct. 11-12 | Learn about the best of Pueblo's past and tell some of your favorite stories from past Ghost Walks. Walking tours leave every 15 minutes and include a loop through the Historic Union Avenue and Riverwalk districts before returning to the food hall. Cost is $12.51 and tickets are on sale at ghostwalk-pueblo.com . Children 5 and younger accompanied by an adult are free . The event supports the Pueblo Domestic Violence Community Task Force in creating awareness and eradicating domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and domestic abuse in the community through support and education.

    Murder Mystery Party at The Abriendo Inn

    300 W. Abriendo Ave. | 7 p.m. Oct. 11 and again at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 | Check out the beautiful 1906 Walter's Mansion for a presentation of "Murder of 1929: Will Power."     Southern Colorado Veterans Food Distribution at CSU Pueblo

    2200 Bonforte Blvd., at the South end of campus by math/physics building | 7 a.m.-2 p.m., with 8:30 a.m. speakers Jeff Chostner and Sal Katz | A total of 900 boxes of food will be distributed to underserved military and veterans of Pueblo and Southern Colorado. Care & Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado and the Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center will team up with seven other partners and sponsors to provide two weeks' worth of non-perishable food, fresh produce, and necessities.

    Toy Bowl 2024 at CSU Pueblo

    ThunderBowl, Troy Avenue | noon | See the 45th annual Toy Bowl game featuring the Pueblo Bikers United vs. Pueblo law enforcement. Cost is $5 or a new, unwrapped toy for distribution among local children.

    How CASA helps children at First Unitarian Society

    110 Calla Ave. | 10:30 a.m. | Tammy Prutch, program director for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Pueblo, will talk about the agency and how it helps abused and neglected children. Prutch oversees community outreach, screens and trains nearly 100 volunteers, and oversees a staff of supervisors to help more than 330 children who are in the child welfare system due to abuse or neglect. The public is welcome and the facility is handicap accessible.

    Monday, Oct. 14

    Compassionate Friends Meeting at Central Christian Church

    1902 N. Hudson | 7 p.m. | Compassionate Friends (We Need Not Walk Alone) is a support group for parents who have lost children of any age. The meeting is held on the second Monday of every month. Enter around the back of the building. For more information, email dawnyel.e.smith@gmail.com.

    Pueblo Humanists meeting at Rawlings Library

Abriendo Ave., main level Friends of the Library meeting room | Doors open at 6:45 p.m., meeting at 7 p.m. | Pueblo Humanists, a secular community, will discuss the danger of Christian nationalism during the meeting.
