    Make a takeout favorite at home. This Recipe for Fried Rice with Shrimp is a delicious way to use leftover rice for an easy seafood recipe for dinners. It tastes so good that you'll rethink ordering from your favorite restaurant.

    Plump, juicy shrimp and umami rice make up a classic recipe that's on the menu at almost every Chinese restaurant. There are a bunch of ways to change it up, but using shrimp is my favorite. And after making this recipe, it will be your favorite too.

    The best way to describe this recipe is as the ultimate comfort food. I love to fry up a big bowl of shrimp fried rice, curl up on the couch, and catch up on my favorite shows.

    It's ready in less than 20 minutes, thanks to how quickly shrimp cooks! And I love that I can change it in a bunch of different ways, too. Add any leftover veggies and your favorite type of protein. Any type of rice will work easily, too.

    How to Make our Recipe for Fried Rice with Shrimp

    This is a basic recipe for fried rice, but feel free to change things up!! While we used shrimp in this recipe for the seafood lovers, you can use any leftover meat or vegetables that you have in your fridge.

    Ingredients For Shrimp Fried Rice

    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
    • 12 oz raw shrimp 12 oz, jumbo raw shrimp (deveined, shell and tail on)
    • 1 cup mixed vegetables peas, corn and carrots
    • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
    • 2 eggs beaten
    • 3 cups white rice cooked and cooled
    • 3-4 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 2 green onions sliced
    • ground black pepper

    How To Make Shrimp Fried Rice

    Add olive and sesame oil to a large skillet and heat until hot. Add shrimp, in a single layer, and cook, about 4-5 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking until shrimp is pink. Remove shrimp from pan and set aside, keeping warm.

    In the same skillet, add vegetables and garlic and cook for 2 minutes.

    Push the cooked garlic and vegetables to the edge the pan and pour the eggs into the center of the pan.

    Cook for 2-3 minutes, making sure that you are scrambling the eggs as you are cooking.

    Stir them together well with the mixed vegetables.

    Add your cooked rice and soy sauce and mix it all together really well.

    Stir it together until everything is completley heated through. This should only take a few minutes!

    Serve fried rice topped with your cookied shrimp and chopped green onions. Season with pepper if desired.

    lose the cheap filler frozen veggies and add snow peas.
