Furry Friend’s cat rescue is accepting donations for its annual dinner and auction fundraiser. All proceeds will support cat rescues, medical care and the construction of a new medical facility.

This year’s “Phantom of the Opurra”-themed dinner and auction will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at The Royal Oaks Country Club, 8917 NE Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver.

This year’s event will feature contests, games and raffles for attendees. Tickets will also include a meal, a complimentary drink and access to all silent and live auctions.

An online auction will be available for those unable to attend the event in person at shorturl.at/kCFCl.

Donations of auction items and desserts are being accepted for the fundraiser. To inquire about providing a donation, email auction@furryfriendswa.org.

Furry Friends is a volunteer-run nonprofit cat rescue serving Vancouver and surrounding areas. The rescue rehomes upwards of 800 cats annually. Many of the rescued cats come from animal hoarding situations and require expensive medical care and socialization before adoption, the rescue’s press release stated.

Purchase event tickets online at fundraiser.bid/Opurra. To learn more about Furry Friends, visit furryfriendswa.org.
