The Washington Public Treasurers Association (WPTA) recently awarded Clark County a Certificate of Excellence for its investment policy for the county’s $1.1 billion government investment portfolio managed by Treasurer Alishia Topper.

“Residents can rest assured that their county investment team is committed to protecting taxpayer funds and that is the top priority of our investment policy,” Treasurer Topper said in a county news release. “I’m proud to receive this recognition and share my gratitude to my
investment staff and am grateful to the Finance Committee for their good work.”

Topper will be formally recognized at the April 2025 WPTA Annual Conference in Chelan for her work which earned the Certificate of Excellence.

The WPTA, established in 1983, assists local governments with investment policies. The WPTA judging panel evaluates investment policies across the state based on 23 categories, the news release stated.
