At long last, Sabrina Ionescu and Nyara Sabally are champions.

The former Oregon Ducks helped the New York Liberty win Game 5 of the WNBA Finals Sunday night, 67-62 over the Minnesota Lynx in overtime to win a league title. It's the first WNBA title in franchise history.

Ionescu had a rough go of it, scoring just five points on 1-for-19 shooting from the field, but dished out eight assists and hauled in seven rebounds. Sabally came off the bench and had perhaps the best game of her career, scoring 13 points with seven rebounds, including a steal and breakaway layup that gave New York a five-point lead in overtime.

The pair were on Oregon's 2019-20 women's basketball team that would have been a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament and the betting favorite to win a title, but the tournament in 2020 was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
