McDonald's extending $5 meal deals through the end of the year with a new sandwich

McDonald's is keeping its $5 Meal Deal around for a while.

Initially introduced in June as a summer deal, the meal –  which includes a sandwich, a small fry, a four-piece Chicken McNuggets and a small soft drink, is being extended.

The majority of its local markets will offer it into December, the company said.

Since launching with two sandwich choices, the McDouble and the McChicken, McDonald’s has added the Hot 'n Spicy McChicken as a third option for the $5 deal in some locations, including Indianapolis.

• Your choice of a McDouble, McChicken or Spicy McChicken sandwich
• Small fries
• 4-piece Chicken McNuggets
• Small soft drink
