NORTH CANTON – Students began arriving at Walsh University campus bright and early Friday morning to move into the dorms ahead of the start of classes on Monday.

This is the largest incoming class of traditional undergraduates since 2014, officials said. The university is welcoming 508 new traditional undergraduate students.

More than 128 undergraduate students are transferring to Walsh, including 103 from Notre Dame College, which closed its doors last school year. Officials said this is the largest group of transfers the school has experienced.

"Our growing enrollment underscores the close-knit, welcoming environment we offer at Walsh University," said Rebecca Coneglio, vice president for enrollment management. "We are excited to welcome such a diverse and talented group of students, and we're committed to providing them with the values-based education and support necessary for their success."

The student body is made up of students from 36 countries, the university said.
