TUSCARAWAS TWP. − A North Lawrence Fire Department ambulance returning to its station from a medical call collided with another vehicle at Lincoln Way West and Alabama Avenue on Saturday morning, a department statement said.

After the 8:40 a.m. crash, a Dalton fire ambulance took two fire department employees to Aultman Orrville Hospital for evaluation. They were later released that day. A Brewster fire ambulance took the motorist in the other vehicle to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton for evaluation. A North Lawrence Fire Department engine vehicle also responded.

Paramedics in the ambulance that was in the collision were able to get themselves out of the ambulance and evaluate the other driver.
