CANTON ‒ A 25-year-old woman was jailed after being accused of shooting a man Saturday afternoon at their home in the 1500 block of 11th Street SW.

The 31-year-old man was shot in the leg, according to a Canton police report.

The suspect is to be arraigned Tuesday in Canton Municipal Court on charges of felonious assault, domestic violence, endangering children and tampering with evidence.

The complaint filed by police said her child was in the home at the time of the shooting.

The evidence tampering charge alleges the defendant hid the gun in a suitcase afterward.
