A 'You got Mossed' by a lineman? You bet. Watch 1-handed catch by Northwest's Colin Smith

As a two-way lineman for the Northwest High School football team , Colin Smith generally makes his impact on the line of scrimmage.

Northwest's 46-7 rout of Tuslaw this past Friday, though, gave the junior a chance to literally stretch his skills — and it's earning him some attention.

The 6-foot, 295-pound Smith became an unlikely pick to show up on the "You Got Mossed" segment of ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown show.

The segment, featuring Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Randy Moss, highlights the best one-handed catches across any level of football. Moss was the master of those during his long NFL career.

"Man, do I have play for you today," Moss said Sunday morning, in setting up the catch where Smith showed that big men up front have some skills, too.

Smith lined up as an eligible receiver in a red-zone package. He ran straight down the seam about 10 yards and then extended his right arm to make a one-handed touchdown catch on a pass from Chase Badger.

Teammates quickly tried to mob Smith, who did a celebratory sprint back to his sideline.

"I don't know how high you got up, but everybody (is) excited," Moss said.

It was one of four TD passes thrown by Badger. Northwest is 5-1 this season.

Northwest plays at Orrville this Friday.
