Canton man charged after 3 people stabbed at party

CANTON ‒ A 22-year-old man was charged with three counts of felonious assault after being accused of stabbing three of his housemates Saturday night in the 1200 block of Louisiana Avenue NW.

A Canton police report said the stabbing occurred after the alleged attacker and one victim began fighting during a party. The suspect then pulled out a pocket knife and swung it around.

Two of the victims are 29-year-old men, and the third, a 23-year-old man. They were taken to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital for treatment. The suspect also requested medical attention.

Police were dispatched to the scene at 10:52 p.m.

The suspect is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Canton Municipal Court.
