HAMLET — Police are asking for the public’s help in a shooting case from last month.

Investigators with the Hamlet Police Department say someone shot into a home on McLean Street around 1:55 a.m. Aug. 10, injuring an adult female occupant.

Police say the victim has recovered.

On Sept. 5, the department posted photos to its Facebook page showing a car — what investigators believe to be a white Dodge Challenger — that was associated with the shooting.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Hamlet Police Department at 910-585-2551 or via Facebook. Tipsters can also remain anonymous by using the P3 Tips app.
