The 13th Annual Touch-A-Truck event previously scheduled for August 10th is being postponed due to the many inches of rain that Hurricane Debby is expected to bring to our region.  Heavy rains will leave our grass fields too soft to support the weight of our awesome trucks without causing damage. We also want to avoid anyone getting stuck in the mud!

The event is being rescheduled on Saturday, September 21st from 10 AM to 3 PM at Green Hill Park.

This beloved family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity for kids and adults alike to explore, interact, and learn about dozens of fascinating vehicles.  Step inside, climb aboard, and engage with the operators who keep our community running smoothly.

This year’s event promises a variety of exciting activities and attractions, including:

    • Car Smash – Sponsored by Pick-n-Save
    • Foam Pit – Sponsored by Napa Auto Parts
    • Dig Pit – Sponsored by Freedom First
    • Misting Stations – Sponsored by Anthem Healthkeepers

Ear protection will be available at the Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism tent to ensure everyone enjoys the event comfortably.

No event is complete without a tasty line-up of food vendors! Find a variety of cuisine including, ribbon fries, tacos, BBQ, Italian ice, kettle corn, pizza cones, vegan options, custard, and more!

Visit www.RoanokeCountyParks.com or call (540) 387-6078 ext. 0 for event details.
