The Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce its upcoming blood drive in partnership with The Blood Connection, set to take place on Thursday, August 15, 2024. The drive will be held from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office, located at 317 Campbell Avenue.

This blood drive is an opportunity for the community to come together and make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need. Every two seconds, someone in the United States requires blood, whether due to accidents, surgeries, or chronic illnesses. Blood donations are critical in ensuring that hospitals have a sufficient supply to save lives every day.

The Blood Connection, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to supplying the blood products for patients in need. By donating, individuals can help maintain a stable blood supply in the Roanoke area, which is vital for emergencies and ongoing medical care.

All donors will receive $70.00 in rewards. Donating blood is safe, quick, and can truly make a life-saving difference. The Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office and The Blood Connection encourage everyone who is eligible to roll up their sleeves and donate. Together, we can make a difference—one pint at a time.
