The body of a woman who vanished after falling off a boat into the Willamette River days earlier has been recovered, Oregon sheriff’s officials reported.

Courtlyn Elizabeth Fricker, 34, of Beaverton, disappeared in the water at about 5:15 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Firefighters and rescuers searched for her using drones and divers but could not find her, deputies said.

On Friday, Sept. 6, her body was found near the Canby Ferry about half a mile downriver from the point where she went overboard, deputies said.

Her body was recovered at about 4:30 p.m., deputies said.

Canby is about a 25-mile drive south from Portland.
