Northern California authorities lifted an evacuation order Monday for a fire that broke out amid thick vegetation.

Called the Tiger Fire, Cal Fire said flames burned about three acres along the 28000 block of Tiger Creek in Amador County at a moderate rate, according to a social media post published at 2:40 p.m. Flames were 25% contained just after 6:30 p.m. that consumed brush in steep and rugged terrain, according to Cal Fire.

The Amador County Sheriff’s Office said the flames chewed through vegetation along Tiger Creek Road, just west of the Tiger Creek Power House. Residents living along Tiger Creek Road and the Silver Drive community were also ordered to evacuate, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The evacuation orders were lifted after about five hours.
